The J.R. Simplot Company has the following position available:
Job Title:Boiler/Refrigeration Mechanic I / II (HRLY)
Salary: Hourly, DOE
Job Location:Nampa, ID

Job Description:

This position will be completely familiar with all boiler and refrigeration systems in order to ensure plant operational needs. The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the boiler and refrigeration areas along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. It is imperative the person(s) conduct themselves in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and its surroundings.

This position must be capable of performing mechanical repairs in all areas of their responsibility and be fully capable of operating all boiler and refrigeration equipment and support systems.
 
The individual in this position will accomplish these tasks by utilizing a team concept through working with team members and following direction and instructions from a team leader or coordinator. Work relationships and communications are key ingredients to the success of the individual holding this position. Overtime requirements in this position are common and may be required to meet operational goals. This position reports to the Boiler & Refrigeration Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • One year experience as a Boiler & Refrigeration mechanic.
  • Must be able to read and interpret manufacturer’s manuals.
  • Must be able to write entries in maintenance logs.
  • Must demonstrate computer skills commensurate with the position.
  • Must be able to perform basic math skills and measurements.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

St. Clair Foods is looking for a Director of Food Safety/QC.  This person will be responsible for all aspects of Food Safety including HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, FDA and USDA regulations, plant sanitation, and third party audits.  A Masters degree is preferred and at least 5 years of comparable experience is required.  We are a family business located in Memphis, TN.

Location: New York, borough of Queens
 
Experience: 3 to 5 years Food Manufacturing Plant
 
Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment and machinery
 
Skills Needed:

  • Must have mechanical and electrical experience

  • Pump transfer systems knowledge
  •  Deep frying systems experience
  • High speed packing machinery experience preferred.

Salary Range: $25 to $30 per hour.
